Our Business Philosophy
We try to use as much recycled material as possible. Many of our products are made from wood salvaged from the restoration of our 1860 house. Because we had zero budget we wasted zero materials in restoring our house. The lath in our Lath frames is old growth douglas fir that held our homes plaster. Our redwood came from resawn studs , again old growth. Because of our use of wood recycling we like to consider ourselves a green company.
The objective of our business is to provide a high quality product and reliable service for our customers. We hope you will enjoy visiting our web site and using our products as much as we enjoyed providing them for you.

DONAHUEKEEFE began in Arcata Califonia , Janet Donahue met Robert Keefe at art school, a few years after college we were married. Robert worked at Getty Museum, Janet worked at Bowers museum. For years we both worked on our old house restoration project. We lived in London working for Arnold Wiggins and Sons, the framers for H.R.M. the Queen. Along with our many other jobs, we have used our experiences in all we make, and hope you will enjoy our products.
